POLICY
TFI is a moderated mailing list: the role of the moderator(s) is to prevent noise in the mailing list, be it generated by off-topics, personal disputes, any form of harassment, or derogatory messaging. The style of moderation is "a posteriori", i.e. the moderator(s) do not filter the messages prior to their distribution, but intervene upon detection of one of the above mentioned situations. The moderator(s) can issue messages of advice or warning, and (as an extreme measure) can suspend the offending contributor(s) either temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity of the breach of the TFI policy.

LANGUAGE
While the default language of TML is Italian, TFI is intended to accommodate contributions in various languages. The default language of the mailing list is English; however, messages and threads in every other language (except Italian - see below) are accepted and warmly welcome. As a means to extend the reach of one's contribution and to enhance the accessibility of the derived discussion threads, including a brief English abstract to non-English messages is strongly encouraged.

TFI asks to its Italian contributors to use either English or another non-Italian language of their choice when posting to the mailing list. As a consequence, cross-posting of messages written in Italian from TML is considered a breach of the TFI policy. This is of simply intended to avoid replicating in TFI the traffic that can be found in TML and to better establish TFI as a truly international forum for Toro fans around the world.

SERVICES
Being TML the companion mailing list of TFI, we are studying ways to generate cross-fertilization among the two lists, while at the same time keeping their individuality and their purposes separated. We plan to provide to TFI subscribers a periodic digest of the discussions going on in TML, translated into English. Digesting should be automated, while we gladly accept volunteers for translation of the material composing the digest. A digest of TFI directed towards TML subscribers will be considered, depending on the amont of traffic and the amount of different languages involved.

We also plan to provide TFI subscribers with an annotated glossary of slang Italian terms that are recurring in any discussion among Toro fans and that cannot be rendered satisfactorily in any non-Italian language. The aim is to establish common knowledge of this kind of terminology and to employ it within TFI, establishing it as the universal slang of Toro fans.

We plan to introduce these services as soon as possible; other services, conceived by the people responsible of TFI, as well as solicited by its contributors will be added incrementally whenever the resources for their management are available.
